The Surprise Engagement Photos
It started out as a simple friendly game of poker, then Brad and Sydni were the only ones who didn't fold their hands. Sydni bet and Brad raised . . . one engagement ring !

I can explain . . .
I have neglected my blog... but I can explain. I've been very busy! Married, College, and High School children; Grandchildren; New daughter-in-law-to-be! Chad, Jenn, & Aidan visit; Brad's birthday dinner; Sydni's birthday dinner; Working my IT job and filling in for my retiring boss for last month and the next; Planning with Brad a unique way to totally surprise Sydni with her engagement ring (it worked - she was surprised); Engagement dinner with Sydni's family;

April and Darin going on a paid vacation from his work to a five-star resort near Cancun before they have baby number 4 (boy); Kevin and I babysitting our grandchildren, Lydia 7, Harrison 5, and Valerie 2;

Having Valerie's 2nd birthday party before April and Darin left; Helping with 2nd grade and Kindergarten homework; Exhausted and it's only the end of day 2 of 8 that we have the grandkids. We hope to survive. So much going on. Grandchild #5 arrives in late December. Brad and Sydni getting married in March 2010. Primary teacher and just got called to Ward Family History Center to help others learn how to get their records "Temple Ready." Hope someone teaches me first, cuz I'm clueless. Lydia and I both have the sniffles. Grandchildren give colds you know. Can't turn my mind off after the 3am bathroom break. Kevin is paying for spoiling Valerie. She is glued to his hip. She won't let him out of her site. He used to be able to send her home to Mommy and Daddy after a day full of turning her rotten. He has spent two years catering to this little girl and now he is paying for it. So funny! We are so out of practice with 5:30am breakfast calls and all day entertaining. Lydia thinks we are her vacation hosts planning activity after activity for us to create for them. We've done the park, two art projects, homework of course, taco bell dinner, slurpee runs, blowing bubbles in the back yard, board games, movie afternoons and snack time, and she is always ready for more, offering suggestions of what we can do next. We fell for it the first 48 hours, but now we are moving a little slower in the catering department. I've learned how to remake bubble mix after having at least 5 bottles spilled by Valerie. It's been an adventure. Wish us luck till we return them safely home.

Designing Blogs at 3am
Okay, I can't sleep cuz I have a cold and can't breathe. So what to do? Change my blog background. Well, that involved lots of downloads and watching online tutorials and messing around for hours. It'll do for now.
